Lynne and Peter Smith established the business Tails The Drycleaner in 1992. Having moved to Camden from Young where they had owned and operated a very successful drycleaning business for 10 years.

Tails has grown and become a recognised name within the Macarthur Region for good service and quality work in both drycleaning and alterations and repairs. The services offered by Lynne and Peter and their staff so far have been recognised by their achieving award winning status from the Drycleaning Institute of Australia where Peter was named Drycleaner of the Year on three occasions and Australian Drycleaner of the Year in 1997. Also at a local level Tails The Drycleaner has been recognised by The Macarthur Waste Board and the Macarthur Small Business Awards.

Lynne and Peter are regarded as industry stalwarts by many who seek their advice and knowledge of drycleaning and management of a drycleaning business. This does not mean Lynne and Peter know all, they are constantly searching for new ideas or ways to improve both the service they offer and the way they deliver the service to the community.

Both Lynne and Peter are community minded and devote many hours to the community through Camden Chamber of Commerce & the Main Street Committee. Peter has for many years served as an executive member of the Drycleaning Institute of Australia at both State Level and Nationally. Lynne has worked as a Cosmetic Carer for Red Cross for the past five years.

Four years ago Lynne and Peter were offered the opportunity to join a management bureau called Methods For Management, this group is industry specific and gives Lynne and Peter the opportunity to network and learn from and with their highly successful peers. This group has expanded within Australia and Peter now co-ordinates one of these groups.

The overall aim of Tails The Drycleaner and Lynne and Peter is to provide prompt efficient, quality service for all their customers.
